CSS is basically Cascading Style Sheets. It defines how html elements are displayed. There are 3 ways to use CSS and they are the Internal style sheet, Inline styles and external style sheet. I will be talking about external style sheet as it is our focus. Its styles normally saved in "external.css files". This made it able to change appearance and layout of multiple pages all at once. It is located in the same folder as the html file. Each page link to .css file using link tag which goes inside head section. The difference between a CSS example without styles and with styles is that the one without styles has no colour while the one with styles has colour. The colour is useful as it attracts the readers' attention and this will let the readers not feel so bored.

Reflection: Through this lesson, I have learnt how to beautify my website so as to attract more readers!

Html basically stands for Hypertext Markup Language. I have understood how to create web pages, link web pages and add images to the website. There is a lot of code in html and I will name some of them. "html.../html" indicate that the contents is HTML. The "head.../head" contains web pages information. The "body.../body" contains main content and structure. The saving of html should be in the html format(.html or .htm). There are basically 3 parts to the HTML tags. They are the start tag, content and end tag. Some do not have end tag as they have no content. Now I will introduce some of the tags. "p.../p" stands for the paragraph. "h1.../h1", "h2.../h2" etc to "h6.../h6 stands for the headings. "a href="...".../a" is when you want to put images. It has no closing tags. "hr" stands for horizontal rule/line and has no closing tag. "em" is used to emphasise text/italic. I think this lesson is interesting and also educational as I now know how to create my own website and also at the same time able to improve teamwork with my friends!

*Note: The inverted commas for the tag is because html and tag is not allowed.
*Note: The <> has not been included as there will be errors.

Technologies

The Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) technology convenience our lives by a lot and I hope that we will have this technology in the near future. I learnt that we could talk to people through the television. We can also just shout a command and our lights will be on, a coffee will be made for you. A blind person would also be saved of a lot of trouble as he/she can just shout a command and what he/she wants to be done will be done. Those examples are only few of many this technology can do so lets all look forward to this technology being created!

Similarly, the Web 2.0 technology is also very impressive. We can shop, find jobs, find a life-long parter etc. through it. It can also be used to help us find more friends instead of just making friends in our own compound or amongst the places we usually go. An example will be if we have made a friend through the Social Networking Site, we will be able to see our friend's friends and we can make friends with them. In this way we will have more friends. In short, the technologies will be a great help to us!

Blog or Website

Blog can be created, designed in just a few minutes, therefore even if you have no computer skills, you can still blog. However, blog needs to be maintained regularly with new contents in it so as to attract more people to read your blog. Creating a website will need some computer skills and it will not be created in just a few minutes as one needs to buy software etc. However, you do not need to update your website as regularly as the blog, so if you are busy choose a website, if you have spare time everyday than choose a blog! Sadly, I only have some computer skills so I can only create a blog. If possible, I will surely choose the website!

Intellectual Property - Is copy right?
I think copy is not right as it is like stealing somebody's work and take it as yours. I understood that you could only photocopy 10% or one chapter of a book for personal uses and not for commercial purposes. I also understood that infringement of copyright is a very serious offence and you will be fined or put behind bars if you were caught doing that. If you really want to get the materials from the copyright owner, you need to ask for the owner's permission and credit the person after using his/her materials or it will be treated as infringement of copyright
Feelings
I think those videos were very educational. This was certainly a fruitful lesson which I appreciated a lot!

Internet was functional on September 1969 and it is for allowing scientists at different locations to share information.

Internet has grown from 4 nodes to more than 200 million host nodes over the past 41 years. The Internet is a public, cooperative and independent network.

One can either use the slow-speed technology or the high-speed connection (ISP, OSP and Wireless Service Provider) to access the Internet.

One should choose the broadband connection that will best meet one's Internet connection needs.

Each computer or device connected to the Internet has an IP address that uniquely identifies them.

A World Wide Web (WWW) has a worldwide collection of electronic documents.

Handheld computers and cellular telephones access the Web using a micro browser that displays web pages that contain mostly text.

A subject directory let you find information by clicking links rather than entering keywords. Search engine is also called a keyword.

Guidelines for evaluating the value of a website are Affiliation, Audience, Authority, Content, Currency, Design and Objectivity.

Netiquette is a code of acceptable behaviors users should follow while on the Internet.

The Golden Rule is to treat others as they would like them to treat you.

I like the IS a lot as in 1 lesson I have learnt so much on computer.

I enjoyed the lesson a lot. Thank You, Mr. Kent Cheong for teaching me so much!
